Awaji Yumebutai Nature Watching
Yumebutai was born by planting trees on the vast rocky site where soil was taken to build Kansai International Airport.
25 years have passed, and various plants have sprouted in addition to the planted trees, so let's take a leisurely walk while observing the nature of the established forest.
Participation fee is free
Instructor: Yoshihiro Sawada
Schedule: Meet at the lobby on the first floor of the Awaji Yumebutai International Conference Center (meet at 9:15)
Walk around Nadayama at Yumebutai (around 9:30-10:30)
Observe the nature of Yumebutai, 25 years after its birth, including the thunbergia tree, which is the raw material for incense, a specialty of Awaji Island, the eucalyptus tree used for mosquito repellents, and the acorn tree that everyone loves. You might be lucky if you can see an endangered Japanese pond turtle!
Enjoy the magnificent view of Osaka Bay from the Promenade Garden (around 10:30)
Return to the International Conference Center and disband (around 11:30)
Capacity: about 15 people
