This exhibition commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Awaji-born Western-style painter Kakuya Oishi (1924-2008).
Based on the idea of "a dynamic and creative museum where the museum itself is a work of art," the exhibition will feature a variety of works filled with Kakuya Oishi's playful spirit, including the path he took to complete the museum with the help of volunteers, impressive large oil paintings over 100 cm in size,
fresh watercolors, ceramics, wood carvings, objects made from recycled materials, sketches from his travels, old photos, and small scribbles.
The museum, surrounded by the chirps of birds and the greenery of trees, is located on a small hill 64 meters above sea level, and you can enjoy seasonal fruit drinks on the terrace with a spectacular view of the sea.
