Call for applications for "Prefectural Citizen Proposal Projects"

Subsidies will be provided to organizations that implement projects that incorporate ideas to welcome visitors to the island based on the purpose and theme of the fair, "Living with Nature, Connecting Lives on Awaji Island."
We are calling for "Citizen Proposal Projects" to make the "Awaji Flower Expo 25th Anniversary Flower Festival2025" an island-wide festival with the participation of Awaji Islanders and many other prefecture residents.

Subsidized Projects

Projects that meet any of the following criteria and incorporate ideas to welcome visitors to the island based on the purpose and theme of the Flower and Greenery Fair are not eligible. However, profit-making projects, political or religious projects, and projects receiving other subsidies are not eligible.

(1) Projects that increase the attractiveness and ability to attract visitors to the region by creating new tourism resources or reconstructing existing tourism resources.
(2) Projects that hold events at the main venue, satellite venues, etc.
(3) Projects that develop greenery at satellite venues and in areas facing public roads, etc.
(4) Projects that promote and allow experience of local industries on the island.
(5) Projects that use felled trees and bamboo on the island as a measure against forest degradation.
(6) Projects that promote and allow experience of coexistence with nature, such as Satoyama conservation.
(7) Projects that promote and allow experience of SDGs efforts on the island.
(8) Other projects that the screening committee, as set forth in Article 7 of the Subsidy Guidelines, deems appropriate.

2. Subsidized projects are limited to those that are carried out during the Flower and Green Fair period.
Flower and Green Fair Period: Thursday, March 20, 2025 (National Holiday) - Sunday, April 27, 2025

Subsidy Eligibility

Any organization or private business entity (hereinafter referred to as "organization, etc.") that meets any of the following criteria.
(1) The organization, etc. is located or has its base of operations within the prefecture.
(2) The organization, etc. has organization rules, etc., and clearly identifies its business manager, accounting manager, etc.
(3) There are no outstanding prefectural taxes.
(4) The representative and members of the subsidy recipient are not an organized crime group, an organized crime member, or a person closely related to an organized crime group as defined in Article 2, Items 1 to 3 of the Hyogo Prefecture Ordinance for the Exclusion of Organized Crime Groups (Ordinance No. 35 of 2010).

Eligible expenses

Honoraria Honoraria for hosts, lecturers, performers, etc., performance fees, etc.
Transportation expenses Transportation expenses for lecturers, performers, etc.
Consumables expenses Costs for purchasing necessary items, etc.
Printing expenses Costs for printing materials to be provided to participants, etc.
Transportation costs Transportation costs for equipment, etc.
Contract fees Contract fees for specialized services, etc.
Public relations and advertising costs Creation of flyers, posters, etc., publishing fees in public relations media, etc.
Venue construction costs Construction costs for tents, stages, etc.
Commissions Costs related to obtaining various permits, etc.
Material costs Costs for purchasing materials to be provided to participants, etc.
Rent Venue rental, equipment lease, etc.
Purchase of equipment Costs for purchasing necessary equipment, etc. However, this applies only to projects that will continue after the Flower and Green Fair ends
Personnel expenses Personnel expenses for members of organizations, etc. are excluded
Other Expenses that the Executive Committee Chairperson deems particularly necessary, but excluding basic operating expenses of organizations, etc., food expenses, etc.

Subsidy amount, etc.

Subsidies will be provided within the budget, with a limit of 1 million yen per project.
Subsidies will only be provided once to the same recipient.

Review

The Awaji Flower Expo 25th Anniversary Project Executive Committee Secretariat will review your application based on your documents.
*There may be cases where your application is rejected or the amount of the subsidy is reduced.

Application period

Tuesday, July 16, 2024 to Friday, August 30, 2024
9:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) during the application period
Applications that arrive by Friday, August 30 will be valid
